What we do
Bioresearches’ marine and coastal ecologists enable clients to understand the ecological health of subtidal, intertidal and coastal project areas. With this technical information, clients are able to build cost-effective mitigation and monitoring into project and development plans.
Our project experience includes all major waterways developments in New Zealand (Pauanui, Whitianga, Marsden Cove), marina and port dredging projects, long-term consent monitoring, monitoring the effects of marine discharges and responding to significant storm and coastal erosion events.
On behalf of clients, we assess the construction and operational effects of infrastructure on coastal and marine ecosystems and monitor water and sediment quality, shorebird and seabird populations, and invertebrate and fish communities.
Our technical capabilities in marine and coastal ecosystems combine with a thorough understanding of legislative frameworks relevant to our clients’ projects.
Bioresearches has the specialist technical equipment to collect accurate data in coastal and marine environments and the ecological and statistical expertise to interpret the information.
